BRYN MAWR, Pa. – McDaniel finished the first half with a 23-1 advantage in shots, building an 11-1 lead en route to an 18-1 victory over Bryn Mawr in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse opener on Saturday.
Claire Johnson scored the lone goal for the Owls (1-4, 0-2 CC), finding the back of the net with 24:46 to play in the first half.
Barbeito had her hand in five of the game's first six goals, helping McDaniel built a 6-0 advantage through just 4 minutes, 53 seconds.
With 28:19 showing, Jacobs made it back-to-back tallies, finishing off a pass from Entrot.
Jacobs then found Barbeito with 26:54 on the clock.
Barbeito hit Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) 32 seconds later before Entrot found Barbeito to cap the opening burst.
Johnson broke up the run, finishing from Kathleen Manger before the Green Terror attack went back to work.
Bridget Bopst (Westminster, Md./South Carroll) found Jacobs with 23:32 before finishing herself from Entrot 1:26 later, starting a stretch of four straight goals in which Entrot was involved.
Michel found Entrot then Entrot hit Barbeito before Michel found Entrot once again to cap the first-half scoring with 12:27 on the clock.
A Bopst solo run and back-to-back Barbeito-to-Entrot conversions made it a 14-1 game with 17:34 showing.
Quinn and Farrell rounded out the scoring in the final 6:22.
Entrot added five draw controls to her nine points.
McDaniel finished with a 39-6 advantage in the shot column.
The Green Terror returns to action against Messiah in Clermont, Fla., on Tuesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
