ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg opened up a 6-1 halftime lead en route to a 15-6 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action on Saturday.
Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) led the Green Terror (5-7, 1-4 CC) with five of her team's six goals.
Amanda Tullo led the Mules (6-5, 2-3 CC) with four goals and an assist.
Eliza Clark finished a solo run to put Muhlenberg on the board just 36 seconds into the game. Jordy Bonvini added the first of her four markers just over eight minutes later before Tullo made it three straight for a 3-0 lead with 13:25 on the clock.
Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldsfield) cut the deficit to 3-1 with an unassisted tally at the 11:37 mark.
Just a minute later, Bonvini finished from Clark then finished a solo run for a 5-1 lead. Tullo capped the first-half scoring with 2:06 to play.
Geiger closed the deficit to 6-2 in the first 15 seconds of the second half before the Mules ran off eight of the next nine goals to open up a 14-3 lead midway through the period.
Six different Muhlenberg players scored during the run.
Geiger completed her hat trick with 11:33 to play before Taliah Carson stretched the lead back to 11 nearly four minutes later.
Geiger then scored twice in the final 4:47 to set the final margin.
Geiger and Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) corralled six draw controls each.
The Green Terror returns to action at No. 5 Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
