A two-sport standout at McDaniel, Mattson enters her third season on the women's lacrosse sidelines.

In addition to four years as a midfielder and attacker for the Green Terror lacrosse team, she was also a two-year member of the women’s soccer team.

On the lacrosse field, she tallied 87 career points, including 48 goals and 39 assists. As a senior captain, she led the squad with 24 assists and ranked second with 48 points, earning her second-team all-conference honors. In 2005, she also earned the team’s most improved player award.

Mattson also served as a captain for the women’s soccer team in the fall of 2006.

As a senior, she was awarded the athletic department’s Spirit of WMC award for her participation and leadership in both sports.
