At the annual award ceremonies that McDaniel College holds each spring, 25 Green Terror student-athletes were among the honorees. On Apr. 29, the College recognized more than 30 undergraduate students at the annual Spring Awards Ceremony. On May 18, the College held its annual Senior Investiture and Honors Convocation, where 41 academic and activity/leadership awards were given to graduating seniors.
The Centennial Conference announced its academic honors for the spring sports season and 33 Green Terror athletes were named to the CC Spring Academic Honor Roll. Four athletes also were named to the Academic All-Centennial team.
Three members of the McDaniel women’s lacrosse team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Lindsey Farrell and Olivia Geiger were named to the second team while Emily Brownawell was tabbed honorable mention.
Lindsey Farrell led the Green Terror in the season finale. In addition to being one of three players with a hat trick, she also pulled down 11 draw controls to set a new single-single record. McDaniel scored the game’s first 16 goals in a 19-4 victory over Bryn Mawr.
Megan Quattrone recorded her first hat trick of the season for the Green Terror. Dickinson had the final say in a back-and-forth affair, outscoring McDaniel 4-1 over the final 6:53 for a 13-12 victory.
Lindsey Farrell led the Green Terror with a program-record 13 draw controls to go with two goals. Washington scored 10 straight goals in the second half to open up a 23-11 lead en route to a 24-14 win over McDaniel.
Emily Brownawell led the Green Terror with six goals and one assist, including five of her team’s 10 during that decisive run. McDaniel went on a 10-2 run to overcome a 4-3 deficit and take a seven-goal lead just 26 seconds into the second half, defeating Lynchburg, 16-9.
