McDaniel drops pair at conference quad
HOBOKON, N.J. – Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett) recorded two victories but McDaniel dropped a pair of Centennial Conference (CC) wrestling matches at a quad match hosted by Stevens on Saturday.
The Green Terror (7-11, 2-2 CC) dropped its first match of the day
to 13th-ranked Merchant Marine (10-6, 3-0 CC) by a 36-6
margin before falling to the host Ducks (8-7, 2-1 CC), 27-20.
Glotfelty broke up the shutout against the Mariners with a
2-minute, 15-second fall at heavyweight before improving to 26-1
with a pin in 3:12 against Stevens’ James
Roarty.
Zach Morris (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) opened the
match against the Ducks with a major decision victory,
19-8.
Trailing 9-4, Brent Lowe (Dumfries, Va./Forest
Park) gave McDaniel a 10-9 lead but four straight Stevens
wins secured the match.
William Yeo (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills)
added a 10-1 victory at 197 for the Green Terror.
McDaniel returns to action at a tri-match hosted by Messiah on Feb.
