O’Boyle named CC Wrestler of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. – Ryan O'Boyle (North Reading, Mass./Central Catholic), a sophomore on the McDaniel wrestling team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Wrestler of the Year, announced on Tuesday.

O'Boyle won the individual title at 133 at the CC championship on Saturday. At the championship, he went 3-0 with three pins for his first crown after a runner-up finish as a freshman.

O'Boyle enters Sunday's NCAA Div. III East Regional with an overall record of 25-1 with 15 pins.

By virtue of his championship, he was also named to the first-team all-conference.

The top three wrestlers in each weight class at the NCAA regional advances to the national tournament. Action at King's begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
