Mary Washington posts 4-0 win

McDaniel blanked for third time this season but Hollinger hit double-digit saves again

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Kate Parvin bookended a four-goal outburst for Mary Washington as part a 4-0 victory over McDaniel in non-conference women's soccer action on Friday.

The Eagles (2-0) finished with a 19-3 advantage in shots while stretching the scoreless streak for the Green Terror (0-3) to 270 minutes to open 2009.

Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made 11 saves in goal for McDaniel, giving her 36 stops in the first three games of her senior season.

Tina Brehm made two saves for Mary Washington.

Parvin headed in a Sarah Tryon pass off a corner in the 15th minute to open scoring.

Sunny Herold stretched the lead to 2-0 at halftime, finishing an Allison DiPippa through ball at the 31:20 mark.

Bridget Dooley knocked home a loose ball off a corner in the 62nd minute to make it 3-0 before Parvin wrapped up the scoring with an unassisted tally at the 79:03 mark.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Notre Dame (Md.) on Monday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
