Green Terror evens mark with 2-0 win

BRYN MAWR, Md. – Becky Newman (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) scored her first collegiate goal as part of McDaniel's 2-0 win at Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.

The Green Terror (2-2-2, 1-1 CC) tallied a goal in the first 10 minutes of the game and final 17 to even its season record.

Rebecca Joseph made seven saves for the Owls (2-6, 0-3 CC) and Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) matched her total at the other end.

Kelly Crawford (Galloway, N.J./Absegami) found Liz Beall (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) for a 1-0 lead at the 9:46 mark.

At the 73:35 mark, Newman tallied unassisted to set the final margin.

McDaniel finished with advantages of 16-11 and 4-1 in shots and corner kicks, respectively.

The Green Terror returns to action at Frostburg on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
