Bears hand McDaniel third straight shutout loss
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Sarah Cogswell and Alex Shivers had two goals each to lead Ursinus to a 5-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer win at McDaniel on Saturday.
Cecilia Mansson and Jess Porcelan each added a pair of assists for the Bears (7-5, 4-3 CC), who finished with a 16-6 advatnage in shots.
Ariel Cangemi (Sewell, N.J./Gloucester County Institute of Technology) recorded two of the six shots for the Green Terror (2-7-3, 1-4 CC), who were shut out for the third straight contest.
Just 2:32 into the game, Mansson found Cogswell before Porcelan assisted on Shivers' tally in the 26th minute for a 2-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, the same duos connected again just 4:37 apart before Leah Shaw set the final margin in the 78th minute.
McDaniel returns to action at Gettysburg on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
