WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored three goals in the final 21 minutes to secure a 4-0 victory over Marymount in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday.
Sam Wilson (New Castle, Colo./Coal Ridge) tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Green Terror (1-0) in its season opener.
In the 28th minute, Wilson played a ball to the end line on the right side of the cage before centering a ball that freshman Chloe Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) headed into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.
At the 79:44 mark, Wilson notched her first goal of the season, finishing a Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) pass from the right wing.
In the 86th minute, Allie Sokolik (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) played a ball through the defense that Julia Pope (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) dribbled around the keeper and placed into the back of the net.
With 1:36 to play, Steph Glassick (West Hills, Calif./L.A. Baptist) rolled a ball into the side of the net off a tap pass from Maria Brew (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown).
Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made four saves in her first individual shutout since late in the 2010 season.
McDaniel finished with a 14-9 advantage in shots and slim 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Ferrum on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
