WESTMINSTER, Md. - For the second time in a week, McDaniel made a second-half lone goal stand, defeating Muhlenberg 1-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.
Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) scored her second goal of the season to lift the Green Terror (4-0, 1-0 CC) to its first 4-0 start since 2000 when the squad won its first six.
Alyssa Meola had four shots for the Mules (2-4-1, 0-1 CC), who outshot McDaniel 14-6 in the game.
Off a free kick, Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) banged a ball off the crossbar that Quinn rebounded and put in the back of the net for the Green Terror's first win over Muhlenberg since 2003.
Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made five saves in net for her third shutout of the season.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
