CHESTERTOWN, Md. – McDaniel tallied a pair of first-half goals to defeat Washington (Md.) 2-1 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.
Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) scored her first goal for the Green Terror (7-10-1, 2-7-1 CC) since Sept. 19.
Kelley Holocker scored for the Shorewomen (6-9-1, 2-7-1 CC), breaking up the shutout with 2:07 to play.
Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) opened the scoring, converting from 35 yards out on the right side at the 13:15 mark.
Sturgill took advantage of a misplay by defense for a wide-open tally nearly 14 minutes later.
Holocker blasted a touch pass directly off a throw-in to set the final margin.
Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) concluded her career with seven saves on the day, finishing with 321 for her career – seventh all-time in Green Terror history.
