Muro helps send McDaniel to win

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – McDaniel scored on either side of halftime to key a 2-1 victory over Susquehanna in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday.

Olivia Muro (Bolton, Conn./Bolton) scored her second goal in as many games for the Green Terror (12-5), who finished with a 16-11 advantage in shots.

Hannah Jones broke up the shutout for the Crusaders (1-14-2) in the 88th minute.

With 12:32 remaining in the first half, Muro fired a shot low, finishing a Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) cross into the box.

With 12:40 elapsed in the second half, Christina Wroblewski (Glen Mills, Md./Cardinal O'Hara) was able to put home the rebound off a Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie) shot and save.

Jones finished a Marissa DeParto pass from the corner with just 2:03 on the clock for the final margin.

Haley Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) finished with five saves for McDaniel while Rachel Norbuts had six stops for Susquehanna.

The Green Terror concludes the regular season at home against Dickinson on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
