WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored twice in the first 7:12 of the second half to open up a 4-0 lead en route to a 5-1 victory over Washington (Md.) in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.
Abby Keen (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) led the Green Terror (8-2, 4-0 CC) with a goal and two assists.
Arianna Sabatino paced the Shorewomen (6-4, 1-3 CC) with a goal in the 61st minute.
Keen opened the scoring, finishing a pass from Katie Clawson (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) at the 16:27 mark.
Katie Kirschenmann (Damascus, Md./Damascus) doubled the advantage just 2:16 before halftime when Keen sent a ball from midfield that she collected and finished from the right side.
Just 3:19 on the other side of the break, Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) finished from Rachel Engle (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown Area) before keen found Allie Titus (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) nearly four minutes for 4-0 lead.
Sabatino broke up the shutout at the 60:27 mark before Paola Rosa (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) knocked home a Titus pass to set the final margin in the 80th minute.
Sydney Kelly (Windsor, Pa./Eastern York) made one save to pick up her first collegiate victory between the pipes.
McDaniel finished with a 19-8 advantage in shots and 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Green Terror returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
