Kelly makes three saves

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Johns Hopkins scored in the 43rd minute of a defensive game, capturing a 1-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Wednesday.

Sydney Kelly (Windsor, Pa./Eastern York) made three saves for the Green Terror (9-4, 5-2 CC) in goal.

Jesse Cole tallied the lone goal for the 11th-ranked Blue Jays (10-2-1, 6-0 CC), who outshot their hosts 13-9 on the day.

Cole collected a loose ball at the top of the box before firing into the top of the net for the game's only goal at the 42:03 mark.

Robyn Lipschultz made three saves to earn the shutout.

McDaniel finished with a slim 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

The Green Terror returns to action at Haverford on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
