WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel remained ninth in the latest release of the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic regional rankings.
The Green Terror (12-5-1, 6-3-1 CC) added a 1-0 overtime win over Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference (CC) first-round game on Wednesday since the rankings came out and enter the semifinals this weekend at Johns Hopkins on Saturday with a chance to improve its positioning before Sunday night's selection.
McDaniel would earn the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA tournament with two wins this weekend but could also be in position for its third straight at-large selection.
The Green Terror is one of three CC teams in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings.
Senior Katie Kirschennman (Damascus, Md./Damascus) leads the team with seven goals while freshman Maddie Schwartz (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) has four goals. Abby Keen (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) has a team-best eight assists and is second on the team with 12 points.
Senior Sarah McDonald (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) has a 1.01 goals-against average and .765 save percentage. Freshman Sydney Kelly (Windsor, Pa./Eastern York) has a 1.20 goals-against average and .707 save percentage.
