Southern Virginia downs McDaniel

Knights remain perfect with 8-1 win

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Rebekah Reid notched a pair of victory to lead Southern Virginia to a 8-1 victory over McDaniel in non-conference women's tennis action on Thursday.

Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) recorded the lone win for the Green Terror (0-3), tallying an 8-5 victory at sixth singles.

The Knights (8-0) did not drop a game in doubles play, including Reid teaming with Brynn McGinn for an 8-0 win at second doubles.

Reid was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at second singles. Jaclynn Arrington added a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles to help Southern Virginia secure the match entering the final three singles matches.

The Green Terror returns to action at Randolph-Macon on Sunday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
