Swept away

Dickinson downs McDaniel, 9-0

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Madeline Altholtz did not drop a game to lead Dickinson to a 9-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Tuesday.

Sarah Woodward added a 6-0, 6-0 win for the Red Devils (4-5, 2-2 CC) at No. 3 singles. Altholtz parted with Shannon Lavery for an 8-0 win at third doubles before winning No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Carissa Grove (Boonsboro, Md./St. Maria Goretti) led the Green Terror (1-9, 0-4 CC), winning four games in a pro-set No. 4 singles match.

Lavery was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 2 singles.

Dickinson took the other two doubles matches, 8-1.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Stevenson on Friday. Match time is 2 p.m.
