Pollard, Arnold win without dropping a game

WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel dropped just nine games in a 9-0 win over Trinity (D.C.) in non-conference women's tennis action on Saturday.

Laura Pollard (Federalsburg, Md./Colenel Richardson) and Nicole Arnold (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) did not drop a game in 2-0 days for the Green Terror (3-1), who closed its fall schedule with its first 9-0 victory since 2000.

Pollard teamed with Kiersten Patron (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) for an 8-0 win at second doubles before tallying a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles.

Arnold partnered with Elise O'Meara (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton) for an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles before winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.

Patron and O'Meara both added 6-1, 6-0 wins at second and fifth singles, respectively.

Brittany Starlings (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) added a third 6-0, 6-0 victory in singles play, winning in the No. 3 slot.

Starlings and Carissa Grove (Boonsboro, Md./St. Maria Goretti) teamed for an 8-2 win at first doubles before Grove won 6-4, 6-1 in the top singles flight.

The Green Terror opens the spring schedule at Swarthmore on Mar. 17.
