O'Meara, Pollard win third doubles

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Muhlenberg swept singles play in straight sets to cap an 8-1 Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis victory over McDaniel on Sunday.

Elise O'Meara (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton) and Laura Pollard (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson) led the Green Terror (6-11, 0-9 CC) with an 8-4 win at third doubles.

Emily Szulman led the Mules (6-6, 5-4 CC) with wins in both top spots. She partnered with Nina Sanders for an 8-1 win at first doubles before taking first singles, 6-3, 6-3.

Jennifer Goldberg and Gabriela Contino added an 8-1 win at second doubles. Both went on for two-win days with straight-set singles wins. Goldberg took No. 2 by a 6-2, 6-1 count while Contino captured No. 4, 6-1, 6-1.

The Green Terror concludes the season at home against Ursinus on Saturday. Match time is 1:30 p.m.
