Barnett takes set

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus swept doubles play en route to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.

Chelsea Barnett (Hanover, Pa./South Western) led the Green Terror (3-15, 1-9 CC), taking the first set of No. 2 singles by a 6-0 margin. Audrey Whitebloom rallied to force a super-tiebreaker third set with a 6-4 win in the second set before prevailing 10-6 in the deciding set.

Heather McMasters paced the Bears (7-11, 2-8 CC) with a 2-0 day, dropping just three games. She and Jessica Tyrrell teamed for an 8-0 win at first doubles before McMasters won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Tyrrell won third singles, 6-2, 6-2.
