Cloney wins seven games

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gettysburg won all six singles matches in straight sets to cap a 9-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis victory over McDaniel on Monday.

Danielle Cloney (Severna Park, Md.) led the Green Terror (2-14, 0-8 CC), winning seven total games in her two matches. She and Laura Pollard (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson) fell 8-4 at second doubles to Maggie McLaughlin before McLaughlin topped Cloney 6-3, 6-0 at third singles.

Laura Gradiska and Lindsay Morris led the Bullets (9-7, 3-5 CC) with 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles to cap their 2-0 days.

The duo partnered for an 8-1 win at first doubles before Gradiska won at No. 1 singles and Morris prevailed at No. 2 singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Washington (Md.) on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
