McDaniel finishes seventh at Dickinson

Green Terror records six top-10 showings

CARLISLE, Pa. - Kelsey Dickman (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) finished second in the shot put to lead McDaniel to a seventh-place finish at the DuCharme Invitational hosted by Dickinson in women's indoor track and field action on Saturday.

The Green Terror recorded 30 points. Gettysburg won the 15-team invitational with 143 points.

Dickman, a week after setting the program record in the shot put, notched a toss of 11.31 meters to finish second in the event.

Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished third in the mile to lead the way on the track, crossing in a time of 5:28.49.

Heidi Davidhizar (Westminster, Md./South Range (Ohio)) finished fifth in the finals of the 55 hurdles with a time of 9.57 seconds.

Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) and Hilary Hanus (Hockessin, Del./Cab Calloway School of the Arts) added top-eight finishes. Peoples was sixth in the 3,000 (11:39.23) while Hanus crossed eighth in the 400 (1:06.41).

Katie Jones (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) finished 10th in the shot put (9.19 meters) while Davidhizar was 16th (8.41).

The Green Terror returns to action at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Haverford on Saturday. Action begins at 10 a.m.
