SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) finished fourth in the long jump to lead McDaniel at the Orange and Maroon Classic hosted by Susquehanna in women's indoor track and field action on Friday.
McCormick added two additional 11th-place finishes for the Green Terror at the non-scoring meet. In the long jump, she turned in a personal-best jump of 4.80 meters to move fifth place on the program's all-time list. She was also 11th in the shot put (9.74 meters) and 200-meter dash (28.88 seconds). All three marks were good enough to hit Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying standards.
Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) led the way on the track, finishing third in the mile with a time of 5:30.16 to earn a CC-qualifying mark.
Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) added a seventh-place finish in the same event with a time of 5:46.42. Kelsey Minyon (Millville, Del./Indian River) and Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) rounded out a quartet of McDaniel runners in the event, finishing 17th (6:38.49) and 19th (6:47.78), respectively.
Danielle Fatzinger (North Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua) finished 19th in the shot put with a toss of 7.92 meters.
McDaniel returns to action at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason on Saturday, Feb. 1.
