Latourette finishes seventh in triple

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Arielle Latourette (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) finished seventh in the triple jump to lead McDaniel at the 2016 Centennial Conference (CC) indoor track and field championship hosted by Ursinus on Saturday and Sunday.

As a team, the Green Terror scored eight points to finish 10th. Johns Hopkins won the team title with 203 points, outdistancing Haverford for 81.5 points.

Latourette moved into fifth place on the program's all-time list with a jump of 10.12 meters in the triple jump. She also turned in a ninth-place showing in the long jump with a mark of 4.74 meters.

On the track, Latourette joined Shantae (Baltimore, Md./Northwestern), Yusrah Adebayo and Claire Lawson (McMinnville, Ore./McMinnville) to finish sixth in the 4x200-meter relay. The quartet clocked a time of 1:51.34 to rank eighth on the all-time list.

Adebayo added a pair of all-time top-10 marks individually as well. She was seventh in the 200 with a time of 27.23 seconds, which ranks fifth all time. She also finished 10th in the 60 hurdles with a time of 10.29, which ranks sixth.

Byro was 13th in the prelims of the 60 with a time of 8.29 to move into sixth place on the program's all-time list. She also ran a time of 28.61 to finish 21st in the 200.

Individually, Lawson was eighth in the 400 with a time of 1:03.51 and 12th in the 60 hurdles (10.34).

Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) rounded out the individual competitors, finishing 12th in the 800 with a time of 2:33.81.

Kelsey Minyon (Millville, Del./Indian River), Carinna Powell (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Northern), Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) and Lucy Benson (Wilmington, Del./Sanford) rounded out the day with a ninth-place finish in the 4x800 relay (10:58.16).

The Green Terror opens the outdoor season at Washington and Lee on Mar. 18-19.
