Three winners lead McDaniel at Millersville

Green Terror has strong showing in final tune-up

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Katherine Restrepo (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) won the 400 to lead a trio of McDaniel winners at the Millersville Metrics in women's outdoor track and field action on Saturday.

Restrepo crossed the line in a time of 1:01.69, 0.34 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Heidi Davidhizar (Westminster, Md./South Range [Ohio]) and Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) were also winners for the Green Terror at the non-scoring meet. Davidhizar took first in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.92 seconds while Fleischer was first in the 5,000 in a time of 19:18.77. All three were a part of seven Centennial Conference (CC) championship meet qualifiers.

Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) followed Fleischer across the line in the 5,000 with a CC-qualifying time of 19:48.81.

Kelsey Dickman (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) was third in the shot put (11.55 meters) and eighth in the javelin (22.39 meters) – both CC qualifying throws.

Missy Black (West Grove, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) rounded out the qualifiers with a 17th-place showing in the 800, crossing in a time of 2:39.98. She just missed the standard in the 1,500, finishing ninth in a time of 5:17.22.

The Green Terror returns to action at the CC Championship at Swarthmore on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
