MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) recorded a Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying time in the 1,500 and a top-10 time in the 3,000 to lead McDaniel at the Millersville Metrics in women's outdoor track and field action on Saturday.
Kaler finished 24th in the 1,500 with a time of 5:08.58 and 20th in the 3,000 with a time of 10:58.22, which ranks seventh on the Green Terror's all-time performance list, at the non-scoring meet.
Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) notched the only other CC qualifier with an 11th-place finish in the 100 hurdles, finishing in a time of 16.93 seconds.
Missy Black (Atglen, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and Laura Shinn (Weehawken, N.J./Pennington Prep) pulled off the same double as Kaler. Black was 39th in the 1,500 (5:33.51) and 38th in the 3,000 (12:05.79) while Shinn was 40th in the 1,500 (5:46.14) and 39th in the 3,000 (12:09.47).
Phoebe McHale (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with a 43rd-place finish in the 3,000, crossing with a time of 12:25.88.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Saturday.
