Weldon has seven kills

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore committed just 10 attacking errors in 83 attempts as part of a 3-0 Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball victory over McDaniel on Saturday.

Melissa Weldon (Broomall, Pa./Country Day School of the Sacred Heart) led the attack for the Green Terror (0-21, 0-6 CC) with seven kills. Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) steadied the defense with 10 digs.

Chastity Hopkins and Danielle Sullivan led the Garnet (17-16, 4-3 CC) with six kills each.

Swarthmore won a series of progressively closer sets, notching the sweeps with wins of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-17, respectively.

Brooke Sillaman (Crofton, Md./Arundel) added 17 assists and two aces for the Green Terror.

McShea chipped in five kills while Hannah Krobock (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) had four kills and seven digs.

Hillary Santana led the Garnet defense with 13 digs while Kate Amodei added 10 digs and 17 assists.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Gettysburg on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
