TOWSON, Md. – Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) recorded 17 kills and 15 digs to lead McDaniel in an 0-2 second day of the Goucher Invitational in non-conference volleyball action on Saturday.
For her performance over the weekend, McShea earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
The Green Terror (5-16) opened the second day of play, dropping a 3-0 decision to Bridgewater. The Eagles (11-10) took the opening set 25-11 before finishing on the top side of a close second set, 25-22. Lynchburg closed the match with a 25-13 win.
McDaniel closed the weekend, dropping three close sets to the host Gophers (7-17), 25-22, 25-17, 25-22.
Against the Eagles (11-10), McShea led the way on attack with 10 kills. She also added eight digs.
Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) paced the defense with 10 digs while contributing five kills.
Colette Kellen (Derwood, Md./Covenant Life) added 17 assists.
Against Goucher, McShea tallied another seven kills and seven digs.
Martin steadied the defense with 15 digs while Dean and Wainwright each tallied 11. Martin added six kills and a pair of aces.
Kellen contributed 16 assists and seven digs.
The Green Terror returns to action at Haverford on Wednesday. Match time is 7:30 p.m.
