WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel swept a pair of matches to snap an eight-match skid and take two matches as part of a home tri-match in non-conference volleyball action on Saturday.
Senior Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) led the Green Terror (7-19) with 27 kills in the two matches. She also added 13 digs and six aces in the final home matches of her career.
McDaniel opened the day with a 3-0 win over Rosemont, winning 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 before downing Trinity (D.C.) in three sets, 25-11, 25-10, 25-11.
Against the Ravens (3-15), McShea recorded 16 kills and hit .407 to go with fives aces, five digs and two assists.
Colette Kellen (Derwood, Md./Covenant Life) contributed 34 assists and nine digs while Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) added 11 kills and seven digs. Kellen also had three aces for McDaniel, which recorded 12 as a team.
Eve Romanowski led Rosemont with five kills while Alyssa Pizzo had 15 digs.
Against the Tigers (2-13), McShea also reached double digits in kills with 11. She also had eight digs.
Martin added nine kills, eight digs and five aces. Kellen added 27 assists, five digs and three aces. The Green Terror recorded 13 aces.
Mallory Johnson led the Trinity attack with six kills. Natasha Dennis and Ellen Betha had six digs each.
McDaniel returns to action at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
