Kellen notches 23 assists

TOWSON, Md. – McDaniel recorded three straight wins to make it six set victories in a row over Goucher, completing the home-and-home series with a 3-0 win at Goucher in non-conference volleyball action on Wednesday.

Colette Kellen (Derwood, Md./Covenant Life) led the Green Terror (5-3) with 23 assists, 10 digs, four kills without an error, two blocks and an ace. McDaniel took a close first set 25-22 before tallying a 25-19 win in the second set. The Green Terror completed the sweep with a 25-23 victory.

Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) led the attack with 14 kills while Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) eight kills and Madeline Rose (Soddy Daisy, Tenn./Baylor High) had seven.

Genna Weger (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) steadied the defense with 18 digs while Martin rounded out her double-double with 16 digs.

Rose added three blocks while Martin and Savin with two each. Lexi Corral (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) had three blocks and three kills.

The Green Terror returns to action at Bryn Mawr in a trimatch with Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday. The first match begins at 12 p.m.
