BRYN MAWR, Pa. – McDaniel fought off match point twice before coming back to down Bryn Mawr 18-16 in the fifth set en route to a 2-0 Saturday.

Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) recorded her 21st kill of the Centennial Conference (CC) match to lead the Green Terror (7-2, 1-1 CC) to its first conference win since 2010 by a 3-2 final. McDaniel took the opening set 25-17 before the Owls (7-4, 0-1 CC) took a close second set, 25-23. The Green Terror took a 2-1 lead in the match with a 25-20 victory before Bryn Mawr forced the deciding set, 25-20.

McDaniel closed out the day with a 3-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy (1-12), winning 25-20, 25-20, 25-10.

Martin closed out the first 20/20 match of her career with career highs in kills (21) and digs (28).

Genna Weger (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) added 16 digs in the first match while Colette Kellen (Derwood, Md./Covenant Life) chipped in 10 digs to go with her 29 assists and four kills.

Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) contributed 15 assists to the attack while Madeline Rose (Soddy Daisy, Tenn./Baylor High) recorded 14 kills against just one error in 19 attack attempts, hitting .684 in the match.

Samantha Abbott led a trio of Owls in double-figure kills with 14 while Zoe Holman steadied the defense with 32 digs.

In the final set, neither team opened up a lead of more than two points. Kills from Rachel Ofili and Abbott put Bryn Mawr on top 14-13 and forced a Green Terror timeout.

An attacking error out of the timeout evened the score. A kill from Sarah Gates and another Owl attacking error made it a 15-all score.

Martin put the Green Terror on top by one but Gates responded with a kill of her own before Rose and Martin closed out the set and match with back-to-back kills.

Against Gwynedd-Mercy, Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) led the way with nine kills while Martin and Rose notched seven apiece. Moyer contributed 21 assists and six service aces to the offense while Weger steadied the defense with 12 digs.
