Kaler finishes 12th

YORK, Pa. – Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) finished 12th overall to lead McDaniel to a fourth-place showing at the Coach Achtzen Classic hosted by York (Pa.) in women's cross country action on Saturday.

The Green Terror finished with 103 points. The host Spartans won the meet with 28 points.

Kaler finished the 6,000-meter course in a time of 26:30.40.

Caroline Unger (Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South) crossed 24th overall with a time of 27:57.59 in her first collegiate 6K.

Amber Slater (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Kelsey Minyon (Millville, Del./Indian River) finished 30th (28:36.54) and 31st (28:46.14), respectively.

Avalon McOmber (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) crossed 34th in a time of 29:19.28.

The Green Terror returns to action at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on Sept. 29.
