Terror Trot a Success

On October 18, many students and members of the community gathered at McDaniel College for the second annual Terror Trot. The first Terror Trot, in February 2008, raised money for Blood Cancer research, while this year the event raised over $1,700 for Breast Cancer research.  While the women's lacrosse team was the primary organizing force, two other McDaniel teams were instrumental in the success of the event.

Regardless of the less than favorable weather, the McDaniel women's lacrosse, field hockey and men's soccer teams contributed their time and effort to the race. The race was a 5K run or a mile and a half walk around the McDaniel College campus.  The men's soccer and women's lacrosse teams participated in the event, while the field hockey team was instrumental in directing the participants. Additionally, Lax World Annapolis, RoadID, Alpha Nu Omeg, and The Westminster Road Runners Club had sponsorship roles.

The women's lacrosse program referred to the Terror Trot as a rewarding experience. Thank you to all donors and participants for making the event such a huge success.
