McDaniel places 18 on Fall Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, Pa. - Eighteen McDaniel College student-athletes have been named to the 2009 Centennial Conference (CC) Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced recently. To be nominated for the honor roll, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve, be of sophomore standing or higher, and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.40. The honored Green Terror student-athletes are:

Men's Cross Country

Women's Cross Country

Sophomore Missy Black (West Grove, Pa./Bishop Shanahan), senior Lauren DiNatalie (Auburn, N.H./Manchester Memorial), senior Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill), junior Jennifer Garnett (Los Altos, Calif./Homestead), senior Emily Hajjar (Frederick, Md./Urbana), junior Emily Peoples (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine).

Field Hockey

Senior Emma Ardolino (Freeland, Md./Hereford), junior Stephanie Hammond (Parkton, Md./Hereford), sophomore Kelly McGarry (Ocean City, Md./Stephen Decatur).

Football

Sophomore Jake Nichols (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson), senior Sean Urbany (Crofton, Md./Arundel).

Men's Soccer

In all, 333 student-athletes from the CC's 11 member institutions were named to the 2009 Fall Academic Honor Roll.
