Roby joined the Green Terror staff in August 2017 in the position of coach/lecturer and as Assistant Athletic Trainer.
She came to McDaniel after completing her graduate assistantship at Lock Haven, where she earned a master of science in sport and exercise psychology. Over the last year, she worked autonomously with a variety of teams but had specific duties with the football, swimming and track and field teams. She also had the opportunity to work in the Himes Rehabilitation Center, where she evaluated athletes and designed specific rehabilitation programs.
She also helped supervise the undergraduate program students in the clinical setting while doing evaluations, rehabilitations and treatments.
As an undergraduate at James Madison, she earned her bachelor of science in athletic training while working specifically with the swimming, football and softball teams.
As a senior, she worked as a teacher’s assistant for the program’s acute care and upper evaluation class. She worked with the pre-professional phase students while in clinic, allowing her to take on a leadership role and help educate the younger students.
While at JMU, Roby had the opportunity to assist at Eastern Mennonite during the spring semester of her junior year, working with a variety of teams in rehab and event coverage.
