WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored in each of the first four innings, keying a 16-1 victory over Penn State-Mont Alto in non-conference baseball action on Wednesday.

Zach Fortuna (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) keyed the victory for the Green Terror (5-8), allowing one unearned run and striking out a career-best 10 in six innings on the hill. Chris Morris (Wynnewood, Pa./Harriton) paced the offense with three hits – all for extra bases – and four RBIs.

Brady Topper led the Lions (2-10) with a hit and two walks.

Anotnio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) led off the bottom of the first with a double before an error on a sacrifice attempt allowed him to score for a 1-0 lead.

Tim Griest (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) led off the second inning with a single before a Tyler O'Shea (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) rocket gave him an infield single and put runners at the corners with one out.

An error on a squeeze play scored Griest and put runners at first and second before a wild pitch advanced both runners.

Rosanova followed with a triple to the fence in left to make it a 4-0 game.

A walk and back-to-back doubles from Morris and Griest coupled with a sacrifice fly stretched the lead to 6-0 an inning later.

Doubles by Rosanova and Nick Valori (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) and a Morris two-run triple keyed a five-run fourth that pushed the lead to 11-0.

An error, stolen base, Tyler Martin single and Tanner Rhoades RBI groundout broke up the shutuout in the sixth.

A pair of errors in the eighth and a Morris double keyed a five-run eighth that set the final margin.

Rosanova added three hits and two RBIs while Griest, O'Shea and Mike Dunn (Lanham, Md./DeMatha) had two-hit days. As a team, McDaniel rapped out 18 hits.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Penn State-Berks on Thursday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
