Marr officially joined the staff in 2017 after spending the previous two seasons as a student assistant on the Green Terror staff. He coaches the running backs and assists with special teams after working with the receivers and special teams as an undergraduate.
In 2019, he adds Director of Football Operations to his duties, overseeing the logistics of team operations.
A local product from nearby Montgomery County, Marr graduated from Damascus High School in 2013. He spent three years playing football for the Swarmin’ Hornets before injuries ended his playing career. Marr began his coaching career as a senior at Damascus High School working as a student assistant coach for the 2012 season.
After graduating from Damascus, Marr attended West Virginia University where he got his start in college football as a student manager with the Mountaineers’ football program from 2013-14. Marr worked closely with the defensive backs and special teams units at WVU.
Following two seasons as a football student manager at West Virginia University, Marr transferred to McDaniel in 2015 where he continued his pursuit of becoming a collegiate football coach.
Marr graduated in May 2017 with a bachelor in exercise science and physical education. He earned his masters in kinesiology last May.
Marr is engaged to former Green Terror women's soccer standout and current assistant coach, Katie Kirschenmann.
