LANCASTER, Pa. – Aaron Washington (Washington, D.C./Montrose Christian), a junior on the McDaniel men's basketball team, has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 3-9.
Washington averaged 16.0 points and 3.5 three-pointers per game in a 1-1 week for the Green Terror. He shot 42.9 percent from the floor, including 7-of-15 from 3-point range. He also hit 7 of 9 free-throw attempts. After an 11-point outing at Dickinson on Wednesday that included the game-tying 3-pointer to force overtime, he netted 21 points for McDaniel's first win at Franklin & Marshall since 2014 on Saturday.
For the season, he leads the team in scoring at 13.0 points per game. He is shooting 42.0 percent from the floor, including 42.5 percent from 3-point range.
The Green Terror returns to action at Lynchburg on Sunday. Game time is 4 p.m.
