McDaniel to travel to Widener for ECAC first round

DANBURY, Conn. – McDaniel learned on Monday afternoon that its season will continue with a selection to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III men's soccer tournament.

The Green Terror (11-6) earned the No. 2 overall seed and the top seed in one of the four pods, traveling to Chester, Pa., and the campus of Widener. McDaniel will take on New Jersey City (11-9) in the day's first first-round game at 11 a.m. Widener will host Brevard in the second game at 2 p.m. The winners will meet in Sunday's quarterfinals at 12 p.m.

The winners of the four pods will advance to the semifinals and championship on Nov. 23-24 at the site of the highest remaining seed.

Junior Jacob Wells (Hanover, Pa./South Western) leads the team with nine goals and 23 points. He is second on the team with five assists. Sophomore Nick Starr (York, Pa./Central York) leads the team with seven assists. He also has six goals and is second on the team with 19 points.

Junior Aaron Bilbie (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) has a 1.17 goals-against average and .750 save percentage in goal.
