Kron wins twice to key victory

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – McDaniel swept doubles play en route to a 6-3 victory over Ramapo in non-conference men's tennis action on Thursday.

Brian Kron (Uppero, Md./North Carroll) led the Green Terror (3-1) with two victories, winning in the top spot in both doubles and singles play.

Justin Gersti paced the Roadrunners (2-2) with a 7-5, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles.

Kron teamed with Matthew Langsdale (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles before taking a 6-0, 6-1 victory at first singles.

Langsdale also completed a 2-0 day with an 8-1 victory at sixth singles.

Satchel McCarthy rounded out double winners, teaming with Seth McFall (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) for an 8-5 win at second doubles before taking a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles.

Philip Jorgensen and Daniel Xinis (Owings, Md./Northern) added an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.

The Green Terror returns to action in the Centennial Conference opener at home against Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
