MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Montclair scored four goals in a 7-minute, 4-second span to break an 11-all tie en route to a 15-13 win over McDaniel in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldfields) led the Green Terror (3-3) with five goals while Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) added four goals and three assists.

Chelsea Orban led the Red Hawks (2-3) with four goals.

Tied at 11-all after Geiger found the back of the net with 12:33 showing and then Abby Blakenship (Urbana, Va./Christchurch) with 9:41 to play, Morgan Cannon needed just 20 second to finish a solo run and untie the game once again.

Two Orban goals just over four minutes apart stretched the lead to 14-11 before Kyle Graver pushed the advantage to four with 2:37 to play.

Geiger and Brownawell each finished solo runs in the final 28 seconds to set the final margin.

Megan Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) staked McDaniel to a 1-0 lead with an unassisted tally just 2:05 into the game.

Oraban responded a minute later to tie the game.

The teams traded mini-runs over the remainder of the first half, including Brownawell completing her hat trick with 35 seconds showing to tie the game at 7-all.

Erin Campbell and Megan Mahlstadt gave the hosts a 9-7 lead just 2:37 into the second half before Geiger and Brownawell drew the Green Terror even just 2:28 later.

Mahlstadt and Orban scored a minute and a half apart for an 11-9 advantage with 14:19 remaining.

Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) had nine draw controls and three caused turnovers.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Rochester on Sunday. Game time is 1 p.m.
