BRYN MAWR, Pa. – McDaniel scored the game's first 16 goals in a 19-4 victory over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action on Saturday.
Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) led the Green Terror (7-9, 3-6 CC) in the season finale. In addition to being one of three players with a hat trick, she also pulled down 11 draw controls to finish the season with 111, setting a new single-single record for McDaniel. Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) added three goals to reach the 100-goal mark for her career, finishing with 102 markers. Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldsfield) led the way on the day with five goals.
Kylie Woo led the Owls (2-11, 0-9 CC) with three of the hosts' four goals.
Geiger wasted no time for the milestone goal. She won the opening draw and went right to goal, scoring just 10 seconds into the contest.
Two Brownawell tallies stretched the lead to 3-0 with 25:40 on the clock before Mia Wilson (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) found the back of the net on a free-position shot a minute later.
Megan Kotelchuck (Crofton, Md./Elizabeth Seton) contributed a goal and two assists over a 63-second span to stretch the lead to 7-0 with 20:07 showing.
Ten different goal scorers helped expand the advantage to 12-0 with 11:12 to play before Brownawell sandwiched two goals around Geiger's second for a 15-0 lead at the break.
Alyssa Swartz (Dillsburg, Md./Northern) added her second goal of the day – and season – just a minute into the second half.
Woo finished a solo run 51 seconds later to get Bryn Mawr on the board and the teams traded tallies the rest of the way.
McDaniel won 21 of the 23 draw controls as a team and finished with a 28-10 advantage in shots.
