LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the McDaniel women's lacrosse team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Wednesday.
Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) and Olivia Geiger (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) were named to the second team while Emily Brownawell (Sparks, Md./Oldfields) was tabbed honorable mention.
Farrell, a junior midfielder, is making her first all-conference appearance. She led the conference with a program-record 111 draw controls this season. Starting 15 of 16 games, she was fourth on the team with 28 goals and 36 points. She also added 20 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls. Farrell had three games this season with 11 or more draw controls, including a program-record 13 against Washington (Md.) on Mar. 31.
Geiger, a senior midfielder, is making her first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting all 16 games, she was second on the team with 49 goals, 11 assists and 60 points. She also led the squad with 21 caused turnovers and was second with 26 ground balls and 84 draw controls. She netted three or more goals in 12 games this season.
Brownawell, a senior attacker, is making her first all-conference appearance. Starting all 16 games, she led the team with 52 goals and 63 points and ranked second with 11 assists. She had nine games with three or more goals, including three six-goal outings.
The Green Terror finished the season with an overall record of 7-9 (3-6 CC).
