LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the McDaniel women's soccer team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Thursday.
Alyssa Johnston (West River, Md./Southern) was named to the first team while Hannah Schepers (Port Deposit, Md./St. Mark's) and Maddie Schwartz (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) earned second-team honors. Lindsey Farrell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) was tabbed honorable mention.
Johnston, a senior defender, makes her first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting nine of 16 games, she is a key part of a defense that posted a 1.29 goals-against average on the year. She also leads the team with five assists and has contributed a pair of goals for nine points.
Schepers, a freshman forward, makes her first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting all 14 games in which she appeared, Schepers leads the team and conference with 13 goals. Her 26 points are also best on the team. She has recorded three hat tricks on the season.
Schwartz, a sophomore midfielder, makes her first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting all 16 games, Schwartz is second on the team with eight goals, four assists and 20 points. She scored two goals and had an assist in a 4-1 win at Muhlenberg on Oct. 20.
Farrell, a senior forward, makes her first appearance on the all-conference team. Starting all 16 games, Farrell is third on the team with four goals and 12 points. She is currently tied for second on the team with four assists.
The Green Terror (10-5-1, 6-3-1 CC) returns to action against Brevard in the first round of the ECAC tournament at home on Saturday. Game time is 11 a.m.
