Giles took over as interim head coach prior to the spring 2019 season before being tabbed as the permanent coach over the summer.

As an undergraduate, Giles played No. 1 singles for his last three seasons and No. 1 in two of his last three years.

Giles earned his degree in communication in 2018 and is currently pursuing his masters at McDaniel.
