LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the McDaniel volleyball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Monday.
Sophomore Marlowe Embry (San Jose, Calif./J.H. Pitman) earned first-team honors while seniors Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) and Allie Lugar (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) were tabbed honorable mention.
Embry, an outside hitter, is making her second all-conference appearance after being tabbed to the second team as a rookie. Embry led the attack all season with 311 kills and currently ranks second on the team with 347 digs. She is also second on the team with 38 aces and recorded 11 double-doubles in 29 matches this season.
Bauman, a libero, earned her fourth straight nod to the all-conference team, being named honorable mention in 2016 and second team as a freshman and sophomore. She leads the team with 474 digs this season. She is third on the team with 29 service aces. She reached the 20-dig mark in 10 matches this year and had 28 or more in four matches.
Lugar, an outside hitter, is making her first appearance on the all-conference team after posting 208 kills to go with 44 blocks and 97 digs.
The Green Terror (21-8, 7-3 CC) advanced to the championship match of the CC tournament and will learn later Monday if its season continues in the ECAC tournament.
